More storage and auto-extend
Auto-extend lets a paid account keep uploading past its plan at 1 cent per GB, inside a spend limit you set between 1 and 500 euro.

When your storage is full, uploads are refused and nothing else happens: no files are deleted, no links break, nothing is degraded. You have four ways forward. Delete something and empty the trash, change plan, invite somebody for permanent bonus storage, or switch on auto-extend, which is what this page is about.
What auto-extend is#
Auto-extend lets you keep uploading past your plan's storage, charged at 0.01 euro per GB, added to your next invoice. It is off until you switch it on, it is available on every paid plan, and it needs an active subscription: the free plan cannot use it, and neither can an account whose payment has lapsed. In both of those cases uploads past the limit are simply refused.

How the charge is worked out#
This is the part worth reading twice. You are charged for the highest amount of extra storage you held at any point during the billing period, not for what you are holding when the invoice is written. Deleting files later in the period does not lower that period's charge.
Day 3
You go 40 GB past your plan while delivering a job.
Day 9
You go 120 GB past. This is the peak.
Day 20
You delete it all and are back inside your plan.

1.20 euro, for the 120 GB peak, not zero.
It appears on the invoice as its own line, named Extra storage, with the number of GB and the dates it covers. Nothing is charged at all if you stayed inside your plan, and the counter starts again at zero each billing period.
The spend limit#
Auto-extend always carries a spend limit: the most extra storage may cost you in one billing period. You set it yourself, anywhere from 1.00 to 500.00 euro, and because the rate is fixed the limit is also what decides how far past your plan you can go.

At 0.01 euro per GB, one euro of limit is one hundred gigabytes of headroom. You are only ever charged for storage you actually used, so a high limit does not cost anything on its own.
- The lowest limit is 1.00 euro. To spend nothing, turn auto-extend off rather than setting a limit of zero.
- The highest is 500.00 euro per billing period. If you genuinely need more, email support@nemilab.com.
- An account that never set a limit is treated as being on the 500.00 euro maximum, and that is what the settings screen will show you next time you open it.
- A workspace can also have its own storage cap, set by its owner. A workspace cap can only ever lower the ceiling, never raise it.
It also raises the monthly upload allowance#
Every plan has two different numbers: how much you may hold, and how much you may upload in a calendar month. Auto-extend lifts both, which matters if the wall you keep hitting is the monthly one rather than the storage one.
Where do I see what I owe so far?
Settings, Auto-extend shows "This period": the peak in GB, what it costs today and your limit. Settings, Usage shows the storage breakdown that produced it.
I deleted the files. Why is it still on my invoice?
Because the charge follows the peak, and the peak already happened. The next period starts again at zero.
The toggle is on but uploads are still refused.
Check that your subscription is active and that the payment on it went through. Auto-extend needs a billable subscription, so a lapsed or unpaid one gives you no extra room.
We are on Business. Whose auto-extend is it?
The organisation owner's. Storage is pooled, the pool belongs to them, so their toggle, their spend limit and their invoice apply to the whole team.
