Your free month of Pro
Let in from the waitlist with a month of Pro? It needs no card and ends by itself. Here is when, what changes after it, and how to keep Pro.

Some accounts are let in from the waitlist with their first month of Pro on us, and joining through an invite counts as being let in. If yours was, the email that said your account is ready also said until when, and Settings, Plan and billing shows the same date under the heading: Pro free until that day, then Free.
For that month the account is Pro in every app, with every Pro limit: 1 TB of storage, files of up to 25 GB each, links that last as long as you like, and conversions. No card is asked for, nothing is charged, and there is nothing to cancel.
When it ends#
The month ends on the date you were given, at the same time of day it started, and the account moves to the Free plan by itself. You are told before it happens: an email seven days before, another one the day before, and a third when it has ended. In the last two weeks a banner in the app says the same thing, with a button to keep Pro.

While the account holds more than the free plan allows, nothing new can be uploaded. You can still open, download, share, export and delete everything you have. Cancelling and what happens to your files describes those 30 days in full; they work the same way here.

Open Settings, Plan and billing
The line under the heading shows the date your free month ends.

Press Pro
The card says Upgrade, because nothing is billed yet. Pick monthly or yearly first if you like.

Pay
Your subscription starts that day and is billed from then. When the free month ends, nothing changes: the subscription simply carries on.
Will I be charged when the month ends?
No. There is no card on the account, so there is nothing to charge. It becomes a free account and stays one until you choose a plan.
If I subscribe during the month, do I lose the days that are left?
Your subscription is billed from the day you take it. The free month is not added on top of it, and it is not refunded as credit.
Can I get another free month?
No. It is given once per account.
