Plans and billing
Changing plan
Upgrade or downgrade at any time. Nemi shows you the exact amount before you confirm, and the change takes effect immediately.
On this page
Plan changes happen in Settings, Plan and billing. Pick a plan, read the breakdown, confirm. The new limits apply the moment the change goes through, in every app, and you are never asked to move anything.
- 1
Open Settings, Plan and billing
Your current plan, the renewal date and your invoices are all on that screen.
- 2
Choose monthly or yearly
The toggle above the plan cards. Business is monthly only.
- 3
Press Review on the plan you want
Nothing is charged yet. Nemi asks Stripe for the exact figure and shows it.
- 4
Read the breakdown
It lists the new plan prorated, credit for the time you already paid for on the old one, and what is due today.
- 5
Confirm
If an amount is due, you pay it there. If the switch leaves you in credit, nothing is charged and the credit is kept for your next invoices.

What proration means in practice#
You never pay twice for the same days. When you upgrade halfway through a month, Nemi charges you for the new plan from today until your renewal date and credits back the part of the old plan you have not used. Those two are added together, and that difference is what you pay now. Your renewal date does not move.
- Upgrading usually means a small payment today, then the full new price from your normal renewal date.
- Downgrading usually means nothing to pay today. The unused part of the more expensive plan becomes account credit, which is applied automatically to your next invoices rather than refunded to your card.
- Switching monthly to yearly works the same way: the remainder of the month is credited against the year you are starting.
- The new limits are live immediately, in both directions. A downgrade does not wait for the end of the month.
Paying yearly#
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | Same as |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 3.99 euro | 39.99 euro | 3.33 euro a month |
| Creator | 6.99 euro | 69.99 euro | 5.83 euro a month |
| Pro | 9.99 euro | 99.99 euro | 8.33 euro a month |
| Max | 14.99 euro | 149.99 euro | 12.50 euro a month |
| Business | 99 euro | Not available | Monthly only |
Yearly is roughly two months free on every plan that offers it. If a plan card says "Monthly only", that plan has no yearly price and the yearly toggle will not let you pick it.
Downgrading when you are over the new limit#
Nothing is deleted. Your files stay exactly where they are and your links keep working. What changes is that new uploads are refused until you are back inside the smaller allowance, and any limit that is a per-day or per-month allowance resets to the lower number. If you drop all the way to the free plan, read Cancelling and what happens to your files first, because the free plan does expire files.
When something goes wrong#
It says the change needs a payment it could not start here.
The switch produced an invoice that has to be settled outside the dialog. Open your invoices in Settings, Plan and billing, and pay the newest one. Your plan changes as soon as it is paid.
I confirmed but the old plan still shows.
Reload the page. If it still shows the old plan after a minute, check the invoice list: an unpaid invoice at the top means the change is waiting on payment.
"We could not change your plan."
Nothing happened and you are still on your current plan. Try again in a moment. If it keeps failing, email support@nemilab.com with the plan you were switching to.
Can I move between yearly and monthly whenever I like?
Yes, and the same proration applies. Going from yearly to monthly usually leaves a large account credit, which is spent on your next invoices.
Prices can change. If we ever raise the price of your subscription we email you at least 30 days beforehand, and the new price starts at your next renewal after that, so you can leave before it applies.
