The Nemi window

Every Nemi app uses the same frame, so learning one teaches you the rest. The sidebar names where you are in the app. The card in the middle is the thing itself and is what scrolls. There is no second toolbar hiding somewhere.

The app launcher#

The grid of nine dots at the top of the sidebar opens the launcher: every Nemi app you can use, each with what is waiting in it. It is how you get from Files to Docs to Meet without going back to a home page. Apps that have not been rolled out to your account are not listed.

The workspace switcher#

Above it sits the workspace you are in. A workspace is a container for files, documents and photos that can have other people in it, and switching workspaces changes what every app shows you. It is sticky: the workspace you pick is the one you get next time, in every app. Calendar and Beam show your own name instead, because they are personal rather than shared.

Finding anything: the command menu#

Press the command key and K (control and K on Windows and Linux) anywhere in the app. Type to search your files and documents, or to run an action such as creating a folder or starting a conversion. It is the fastest route to almost everything, and it is worth the ten seconds it takes to learn.

Light, dark and reading comfort#

The theme lives under Settings, Style, and follows you across every app on the same device and across devices on the same account. If text size, contrast, motion or larger tap targets matter to you, the accessibility settings are described in Reading comfort and accessibility.
