Suite against suite

Nemi vs Google Workspace

The same set of tools, without the company that reads them.

Workspace is the suite Nemi is most often measured against, and fairly: documents, spreadsheets, storage, calendar, video and forms in one account. The difference is not the list. It is what runs where, who can look at it, and how much of the product exists to feed the rest of a very large company.

What Workspace does better

Everybody already has an account, which makes sharing outward frictionless in a way nothing else can match. Docs and Sheets are deeper than ours in the places power users live: pivot tables, add-ons, twenty years of edge cases. If your work is a spreadsheet with four hundred formulas in it, that spreadsheet belongs in Sheets.

Where Nemi is different

The work happens on your device wherever it can

Photos are read and compressed in your own browser. Video in a call goes browser to browser and never reaches a server of ours. Vault folders are encrypted before they leave you. None of that is a setting you switch on; it is how the apps are built, and it is why there is less of your work here to look at in the first place.

A share link with terms on it, on every plan

Password, expiry, a download limit and your own branding on the page. In Workspace the equivalents arrive with the business tiers.

Conversion and compression are part of the product

Forty four formats on our own engine, on our own hardware, with the result landing next to the original. In Workspace that is a trip to a converter site with your client's footage.
