Nemi Mail
Every paid plan
Mail from the people you said yes to. Anybody new waits in the Screener, and pictures stay off until you ask.
Nemi Mail is an email address of your own, at nemimail.com or on your own domain, in the same account as everything else. The first message from somebody new waits in the Screener until you let them in, newsletters and receipts sort themselves out of the inbox, and the pictures that tell a sender you opened their message stay off until you ask for them.
Every paid planStored in the EUEncrypted at rest
A new sender waits for your yes, a flag is marked done, and a Nemi share arrives as a live card. Drawn with demo data.
Email on an address of your own, with a Screener that holds back anybody new. Each of these is true of the product today.
The Screener decides who reaches you
The first message from a new sender waits in the Screener until you say yes or no, and everybody you write to is let in on their own. Newsletters, Receipts and Updates go into bundles of their own, so the inbox holds the mail that was written to you.
Opening a message tells nobody
Pictures that load from somewhere else stay off until you press Show images or trust the sender, and even then our server fetches them, so the sender sees us and not you. Common tracking pixels are never loaded, even then, and a link can show you where it really leads before you go there.
Received and sent in the EU
Mail arrives and leaves through Amazon in Ireland and is checked for spam and viruses on the way in. Each message is encrypted before it is stored in Amsterdam, and so are its subject and text in our database. Our servers hold the key and read your mail to show it to you, so this protects copies of your mail, not your mail from us. Search works on keyed fingerprints of the words, not on the words.
On every paid plan
Mail comes with every paid plan and has its own storage, separate from your files: 1 address and 3 GB on Starter, up to 5 addresses and 100 GB on Business, and your own domain from Pro. It follows your own plan wherever you work, never a workspace owner's, because a mailbox belongs to you. Your Nemi username is the first address it suggests.
Inside Mail. The parts you will use every day.
Nobody new gets in without a yes
The first message from somebody you have never written to waits in the Screener, with their name and how many messages they have sent. Allow them and their mail goes to your inbox from then on; block them and it never arrives. Everybody you write to is allowed on their own, so the Screener only asks about strangers. Newsletters, Receipts and Updates sort themselves into bundles beside the inbox.
A flag, then a tick
Flag a conversation in one of seven colours, and press it again once it is handled: the flag becomes a green tick and the conversation leaves Flagged, the way Outlook does it. Make folders of your own, inside each other, add labels, and pin the conversations you keep coming back to. Rules sort new mail as it arrives: into a folder, labelled, flagged, marked as read, or past the Screener for a sender who proved who they are. There is no rule that forwards mail somewhere else, on purpose.
Nemi things arrive as Nemi things
Attach a share, a document, a form, a meeting, a room or an event and somebody who also uses Nemi Mail sees a live card: whether the link is still active and how many files it holds, or whether the meeting has started. Everybody else gets the same thing as an ordinary link. A file over 25 MB goes as a Nemi share link on its own, and nobody can open it until the message has left. The shares and invitations you send from elsewhere in Nemi go out from your own Nemi Mail address too.
Sent when it should be
Schedule a message for later, take one back within ten seconds of pressing Send (or up to thirty, if you set it), snooze a conversation until it matters, and be reminded when nobody has replied. Track opens is off unless you turn it on, for one message or as your default, and an open by Apple Mail, which can load every picture the moment mail arrives, is shown as possibly automatic rather than as a read.
In the mail app you already use
Read and send Nemi Mail in Apple Mail, Outlook or Thunderbird over IMAP and SMTP, signed in with an app password made for that one app, shown to you once and stored only as a salted fingerprint. Apple Mail on iPhone, iPad and Mac sets itself up from one download, Thunderbird and Canary find the settings on their own, and Outlook uses autodiscover. Link Gmail, Outlook or another IMAP account and its mail arrives in the same inbox, with 1 linked account on Starter and up to 5 on Business.
Ask your inbox
On plans with Nemi AI, a long conversation can be put in a few lines, the things people need from you listed with the sentence each one came from, and a reply suggested for you to read and send. Ask your inbox a question in plain words and the answer points to the messages it came from. Mail from a Gmail account linked through Google is never sent to the model.
What you can stop doing. Mail comes with the same account as everything else, so it is never one more sign up.

It comes with the rest of Nemi. One login, one workspace, one bill.
Every app is part of the same account and the same workspace. These are the ones that sit closest to Mail.
Move in once. Cancel the rest.
Nemi is opening in groups. Put your name down once and the whole of Nemi is yours when it is your turn: every app, one account.
15 GB free when you are in. No card.
