Write together. Keep the file.
A document in Nemi is one file, not a row in somebody's database. It saves as .nemi, compressed, with its images inside it, and it opens for everybody in the workspace at the same time.
Nemi Docs, drawn from the app rather than photographed, so it stays true as the product moves.
What it does.
Documents that several people can be in at once, saved as one file.
Everyone in the same document
Cursors, selections and edits arrive as they happen. There is no merge step and no version anybody has to be told to close.
Who wrote which line
Authorship is stamped per block as it saves, so a document can tell you where a paragraph came from months later. Edits made through the AI connection are marked as such, not passed off as yours.
Version history that goes back
Saves are kept as keyframes plus deltas, so you can read the document as it was, not just restore it.
Inside Docs.
Every block keeps its author
Authorship is stamped per block each time the document saves, and inspect mode tints each paragraph in the colour of whoever wrote it. Blocks are keyed by their content, so moving a paragraph carries its author along with it, and an edit made through the AI connection is recorded as the AI rather than as the last person who typed.
Every save becomes a version
History is kept as occasional full snapshots with only the small changes stored between them, so a document that is edited all day does not become a pile of copies. Open a version to read the document as it was that afternoon, and restore it only if you decide you want it back.
It leaves as one file
Exporting gives you a .nemi file with the document's images packed inside it, so it opens the same for whoever you send it to. Word, PDF, Markdown, HTML, plain text, RTF and PNG are in the same menu when the other end needs something ordinary.
It comes with
the rest of Nemi.
