About

A calmer place
for your files.

Nemi is a small, independent studio building one product: a workspace where sharing, compressing and converting files finally feels like a single thing, not six.

Why we're building this

File tools stopped caring about files.

Sending a client a video means bouncing between a Dropbox tab, a TinyPNG tab, a WeTransfer tab, and a browser converter that has popups. None of them want to be a file tool. They want to be an AI assistant, a CRM, a presentation product, a replay service.

Nemi is going the other direction. We care about the file. The upload, the share link, the preview, the compression, the expiry date, the person who receives it. Everything else stays out of the way.

We make this because we were tired of using our own work.

Principles

Small and fast
A bundle that loads in a blink. A Rust engine that finishes before you switch tabs. A UI without fifteen panels.
Your files are yours
Never trained on. Never sold. Never passed through a third-party 'intelligence' layer. Encrypted at rest.
One price, no upsells
Passwords, expiry, upload links, conversion, compression — all default. We charge for storage, not for features.
Made by a human
One studio, one designer-engineer, answering every support email. If something breaks you'll hear from us.
Boringly stable
No breaking changes. No surprise pivots. File tools should still work the same way in three years.
Design as a feature
We spend more time on typography and motion than most SaaS does in a year. File tools can be beautiful.

A note from the maker

I make every part of Nemi — the rust engine, the UI, the pricing page, the welcome email in your inbox. If something feels off, please write me. I read everything and I fix things quickly.

Nemi is the tool I always wanted on my own desktop. I hope it ends up on yours too.
