A call we could not listen to if we wanted.
Meet connects the people in a call directly to one another. Audio, video and screens travel between browsers, encrypted, and never pass through a server of ours. That is not a setting, it is the architecture.
No media server, so no recording we could make
We introduce the browsers to each other and step out. There is no point at which a meeting exists on our side, which is why we cannot produce one.
Backgrounds, captions and notes on the device
Blur and replacement run in the browser. Captions are your own device transcribing your own microphone and sending only text. Meeting notes and the whiteboard are ordinary Nemi documents, so they are still there tomorrow.
A guest needs the link and nothing else
No account, no download, no plugin. Up to ten people in a call, which is the honest limit of a direct connection between everybody.
It comes with
the rest of Nemi.
Same workspace, same share menu, same keyboard. Nothing here is a separate subscription.
Ten apps. One account.
Nemi is opening in groups while the newer apps finish their rollout.
