One job, two ways of doing it
Nemi vs TinyPNG
The same small files, inside your file manager.
TinyPNG is excellent and free for small jobs, which makes it hard to argue with and easy to outgrow. The moment compression is part of a delivery rather than a one-off, the browser tab becomes the bottleneck.
What TinyPNG does better
It is one page, it is free, and for a handful of images it is faster than opening anything. There is no reason to stop using it for that.
What you get here instead
Hundreds at a time, not a tab at a time
Convert runs on our own machines rather than in a browser tab, so making a whole folder of photos smaller is one action.
The originals stay where they are
Compressed copies land next to the source in your workspace, ready to share.
It covers video too
The same panel makes a video smaller: a lower quality, a smaller size, or both.
