Set up your folio

Open the profile menu in the top right and choose "Your folio". The editor is a panel on the left and a live preview on the right: the preview is the real page, not a drawing of it, so what you see is what a visitor gets.

   Fill in the profile

   Your name, a headline, a few sentences and where you are. Leave anything blank and it simply does not appear.

   Add your work

   Go to Work, press "Add a project", and give it a title, some media and whatever details are worth saying. See projects and media.

   Choose a look

   Design starts with nine presets. Pick the closest one and change anything you like from there.

   Add your links

   Paste an address and the platform is filled in for you.

   Publish

   Press Publish at the top right. That does two things at once: it makes the address work, and it takes the version you have now and gives it to visitors. Until you press it the page answers to nobody but you.

Everything you type is saved straight away, so nothing can be lost, but saving is not publishing. Your edits are a draft that only you can see, and the page visitors get stays exactly as it was until you press Publish changes. The top of the editor says where the page stands: a green dot for "Live and up to date", an amber one for "Unpublished changes", and a grey one for "Not published yet" or, once you have taken a published page down, "Offline". On a phone only the dot shows.

Changed your mind? Discard puts the page back to the version that is published and throws the rest away. It only appears when there is something to discard, and it asks first, because it cannot be undone.

While it is a draft#

Open your own folio while it is unpublished and you get the finished page with a bar at the bottom reminding you that nobody else can. Its pictures are private too: a media address from a draft answers to you and to nobody else.

Taking it down#

Press Take offline, or turn off the Publish switch in Settings, which then reads Offline. The page and every project page under it stop answering immediately, and so do the pictures. Nothing is deleted, and turning it back on restores the same address.
