Folio

Projects, pictures and video

What a project holds, which formats a folio accepts, and how big a file can be.

On this page

A project is one piece of work: a title, a subtitle, a description, a client, a role, a year, tags, a link, and as many pictures and videos as it needs. The first picture you pick is the tile on your folio; the rest appear on the project's own page.

What you can upload#

KindFormatsLargest file
PicturesJPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF25 MB
VideoMP4, WebM, MOV512 MB

Nothing is converted, so the file you upload is the file a visitor plays. That is why the list is what browsers can already play.

A folio holds up to 400 files and up to 60 projects. Everything you upload counts towards your storage, the same as any other file, and you can see what is left in Settings, Usage.

In any picker, press "From Gallery" to pull in a photo you already have in Gallery. Nothing is copied, so it costs no extra storage: your folio points at the photo. Erase that photo from Gallery for good and the tile stops showing, so keep anything your folio depends on.

Only photos you uploaded yourself can be pulled in. A shared workspace library shows you a colleague's photos, but their work is not yours to publish on a page with your name on it.

Deleting#

  • Delete a project and its pictures stay in your media library, because most of them are on more than one project.
  • Delete a file from the media library and it is removed from every project, from your cover and from the background at the same time. That one is permanent, and the storage comes back.
