Deep clean
Finds duplicates, forgotten trash, big untouched files and images in heavy formats, and hands the list to you.
Open Score, then Deep clean. It looks through the workspace and lists what could go, in four groups, with a running total of how much space each one is worth.
- Duplicates. Files sharing a name and an exact size with an older file. The oldest copy of each is always kept, because it is the one your links and documents point at.
- Sitting in the trash. Deleted more than 30 days ago and still counted against your plan.
- Big, old, never opened. Over 100 MB, more than a year old, and downloaded zero times.
- Images in a heavy format. Large PNG, TIFF and BMP files that a modern format would carry for a fraction of the size.
Nothing is ever removed without you pressing the button, and a permanent delete asks again before it runs. The image group has no button at all: it points you at Convert in the file browser, because keeping the file and changing its format is a different decision from deleting it.
How sure is it that two files are duplicates?
It matches on the file name and the exact byte count, and it shows you both. Nemi does not read the contents of your files to compare them, so treat the list as a shortlist worth checking rather than a verdict.
The estimated saving on images looks optimistic.
It is an estimate and the panel says so. A photograph usually shrinks much more than the estimate; a screenshot of flat colour shrinks much less.
