Score and progress
Badges, Rewind and what is public
What the badges count, what your yearly Rewind reads, and the two switches that decide who sees any of it.
Badges count things you have actually done: files uploaded, links sent, downloads other people took, conversions run, gigabytes saved. Most have several tiers. A handful are hidden and have no hints; the grid tells you how many are left to find and nothing else.
Rewind is the same history read over a year or a quarter: your busiest day, the largest thing you moved, the link that travelled furthest. Cards with nothing in them are left out rather than shown as zeroes, so a quiet year is a short page.
The two switches#
Both are in Settings, Progress.
Settings, Progress
Off stops the recording as well as hiding it.
Off by default. Your card, your folio and your share page.
- Show badges and streaks off hides the score, the shield, the badge grid and every milestone message, and stops the underlying record being kept at all. The setup steps carry on, because they are worked out from your files and links rather than from that record, and because their storage is part of your plan.
- Show badges on your public pages is separate and starts off. On, it puts your badges, how many you have and the month you joined on your profile card, your folio (as an On Nemi section) and a block you can add to your share page. Your score, your shield, your setup steps and anything naming a file or a link never appear on a public page.
