Sharing a form and collecting answers
Publish to get a public link anyone can fill in without an account, and know the two plan limits that decide when a form stops taking answers.

Press Publish in the form header. That mints a public link, and anyone with it can fill your form in without a Nemi account. Copy the link from the strip above the questions, where it sits next to a green Live dot.

Add at least one question
A form with no questions cannot accept anything, whatever its link says.

Press Publish
Publishing is a change to the form, so somebody with view-only access is not offered the button. They can still copy a link that already exists.

Copy the link and send it
Put it in an email, a message, a newsletter or on a page. It is a normal web address.

Watch the responses arrive
Every submission writes a row into a sheet in your workspace while you watch. Nothing to export, nothing to sync.
How many forms and how many answers#
Two different limits apply, and they catch people out for different reasons. Drafts are unlimited: only forms that are actually accepting responses count towards the first number, and only responses that arrive count towards the second.

The monthly count runs per calendar month across all of your forms and resets on the first of the month. Deleting responses does not give the allowance back within the same month.
Closing a form#
There are two ways to stop taking answers, and they are not the same thing.
- Accepting responses off, in Settings. The link keeps working and the page still opens, but a bar at the bottom says the form is not accepting responses right now. Use this when people may still have the link open, or when you want to reopen later.
- Stop accepting via link, in the strip above the questions. This switches the public link off entirely. The address stays reserved for the form, so publishing again later gives you the same link rather than a new one to redistribute.
A closed form frees a slot against the "accepting responses at once" limit straight away, which is how you publish a fourth form on the free plan.
What a respondent sees#
They open the link
Your page, your colours, your logo. No account, no app, no sign-in.
They answer
Required questions are marked, and a missing one is highlighted rather than silently refused.
They press submit
Your confirmation message appears on the same background.
The fine print under the form says the answers are sent to the form's creator and links to our privacy policy. That is accurate: you decide what is asked and why, and for the answers people give you we act on your behalf. If the form asks for anything personal, say in the description what you will do with it.
You can keep editing a published form. Changes go live immediately, and answers keep landing under the right columns even after you add, remove or reorder questions.
When responses are not arriving#
People say the form will not accept their answer.
Check Accepting responses in Settings, then check whether the link is still published, then check the monthly count on the Responses page. When the monthly allowance is spent, respondents are told the form cannot accept more responses right now rather than being blamed for it.
Somebody got a "rate limit exceeded" message.
Forms are rate limited per link and per person to keep scripts from burning your monthly allowance. A real respondent hits this only when several people submit from one office connection in quick succession. Waiting a few minutes clears it.
Can the same person answer twice?
Yes. There is no sign-in, so there is nothing to identify a repeat respondent by. A retry of one submission that failed halfway does not create a second row.
Can I see who answered?
Only if you switched on Ask for the respondent's name, and only what they typed into it. Nothing else about a respondent is put in the sheet.
Can I put the form on my own website?
Send people to the link, or link to it from a button. The form page is designed to stand on its own, with your logo and colours on it.
